I am currently sitting in the very cozy living room of Alison's (BJ's sister's) house in Marietta, Ohio, stealing a few moments on her lap top to write an update. As of last Saturday, our house in Farmington is totally empty and all of our stuff is on an 18 wheeler heading to Ardmore, OK. We are doing well, although the last week at Farmington was extremely emotional and trying. I miss all the people there, and I miss my house, but I am extremely hopeful about the future. Also, I'm just really content to be with family. After the emotional roller coaster of last week, it is comforting to simply watch our family enjoy Shepherd and see how much they enrich his life. And Alison is okay with letting me cook out all of my hyped-up emotions and stress in her kitchen. That's how I deal.
BJ is currently laying on the floor drumming an old drum-line cadence on his belly while Shepherd happily bounces to the rhythm. Although we are currently in the middle of a huge transition, there is still a lot of normal to life. That is a good thing.
I'll write more as soon as I have regular access to the internet again. Until then, blessings.
